About Us
Petula
My name is Petula. I have lived in Stoke my whole life. I am a Mother of 4 grown up children and grandmother to 3.
I worked in a local primary school for 10 years and as a support worker for a charitable project in the city for a while after that.
I have a passion for supporting people in difficult circumstances, especially where children are involved. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing you have helped someone through a tight spot and let’s face it we have all experienced that at least once. I consider it a privilege to be a part of Step up Stoke CIC and be working with people who genuinely want to help make the lives of others a little easier.
I am also a cat lover and I love to watch true-crime documentaries.
Lesley Shaw
I’ve previously worked for local charities and housing associations.
I’m a proud Stokie and also a mum. I was a young woman when I had my first child, so being able to support local families in a crisis is a privilege.
